Socket stuck on lug nut stuck on wheel

Hello everyone. Do you know how I can get it off? I have hammered many times without luck. I don't care about the lug nut and socket. Thank you!

get your hand shaking like you on tourettes, should fall right off. (attach socket back to the lever so you have some leverage.)

Try wiggling it while turning it the opposite way (tightening). Likely it's the wrong size or rounded the bolt. What size socket is it?
If that doesn't work, first cover your wheel with some cardboard to prevent accidental damage, then clamp some vice grips on it and use a long lever, like a crowbar, or 2x4 and try pulling it back. If you don't have the tools, ask your neighbours if they're handy.

Also, if you're swapping to summer tires, it's a bit early. My insurance requires the winter tires to be on from Dec 1 to March 30. And we often get snowfalls in April.

Have a hair dryer in the household? Turn on max heat to full blast and warm it for several minutes before attempting to wiggle it off.

Boiling water may work better/faster.

Believe it or not, sometimes it is bound into the socket only in one direction. Try to snap it off the nut by tightening it.

How about spraying it with WD-40 or little bit of engine oil? I never tired it.

I know they spray it on radiator hose to get it into radiator nozzle.

Managed to get socket off as well as cover of lug nut with impact driver. Now my usual 17mm is not working for this nut.

You'll be better off removing those security lugs and swapping in stock ones.

I will try socket remover to remove it and replace all with Dorman. Nice grip

'Cuz I believe that you need a special socket that fits over the unique "flower" shape of the bolt. Also, I think you need to use the little tool to pull the caps off before trying to loosen the bolts. The tool should be in the trunk with the toolkit.

You're first mistake is using security bolts. They provide little security and often fail (or lose the key) causing headaches for the owner. Once you get them off, throw them out and use standard factory bolts.
